Decadent Brownies

We all love a good brownie so we have carefully put this recipe together to make a moist and delicious decadent brownie. Perfect to enjoy with a cup of tea or milkshake. This is our favourite brownie recipe as featured in our article in Flavour Magazine.

The Ingredients:
115g Melted Butter
200g Silver Spoon® Caster Sugar
2 Eggs
1tsp Nielsen Massey Vanilla Extract
30g Good Quality Cocoa
Powder
60g Neills® Plain Flour
0.25tsp Baking Powder
0.25tsp Salt
100g Milk Chocolate
Chips

Recommended Equipment:
Food Mixer (Recommended Bosch MUM46A1)
Joseph Joseph Nest9 Bowls
Pyrex Bowl
Pampered Chef Brownie Pan

The How-To:
Preheat oven to 175c.
Pour the melted butter
into a large bowl.
Add the caster sugar
and mix together with a wooden spoon or spatula.
Mix in the 2 eggs and
mix until well combined.
Sieve the flour, cocoa
powder, salt and baking powder into the bowl.
Fold the mixture
together until all the ingredients are combined.
Stir in the chocolate
chips.
Pour the mixture into
an approx. 8×12 inch tin or we recommend a specialised brownie tin with
individual compartments to make the perfectly presented brownies.
Bake in the centre of
the oven for 25-30 mins or until a skewer inserted comes out clean, remember
the chocolate chips will melt so do not mistake this for uncooked brownie
batter. Brownies are meant to be soft and gooey so do not overcook them by
mistake.
Remove from the oven
and allow to cool for 10 mins in the tray before turning out onto a wire
cooling rack to cool completely.
